Graham Whitfield

We are saddened to announce that Graham Whitfield has died at the age of 57. Graham acted as assistant to Traci Whitfield during her time as controller of the National Schools’ Championship, supporting her at many Pontin’s and Bristol Grammar events. He prepared all the competition accounts as well. Our thoughts are with Traci and all Graham’s family and friends.

Andrew Davies

We regret also to report the death of former EPSCA Council member Andrew Davies who passed away in December 2020. As well as major contributions to chess at county and national level, Andrew was responsible for a major upgrade to the EPSCA website.
