The semi-finals started with the one day event at Bristol on Saturday 11 May. All the results are on this Google spreadsheet https://bit.ly/2XoFIlZ. Congratulations to King's College and The Pointer School (Under 11) and to St Paul's Juniors and St Joseph's Catholic Primary (Under 9) who qualified for the final to be held on 2 and 3 July at the Park Inn, West Midlands.

Code of conduct...

...for adults! Examples of inappropriate behaviour by adults at our events are very rare. However, when they do occur they can prevent us from giving the children the excellent experience we aim for. Adults, please do abide by these rules.

EPSCA Council were unanimous in their wish to celebrate the commitment and contribution that Joanne and Sue have given EPSCA. For almost twenty years they have worked tirelessly in the background, for EPSCA, providing accountancy services to assure Council’s financial probity.

The entry form for the National Primary Schools Chess Championships (NPSCC) is available here. Latest update 18th December. All London zones are now full. Nearest available is Wouldham in Kent which is just off the M2 not far from the  M25.The closing date for entries is 31 December 2018,

The first pre-trial event for the 2019 England Under 11 team has taken place. Results.

For member associations, EPSCA organises Under 9, Under 11 and Girls’ team championships, with teams of 12 or 20 players. Details on the Team Championship page. Results can be found here.

For schools across the country, EPSCA organises the very popular three stage “National Primary School Chess Team Championship”. Details on the NPSCC page. Download the 2018 entry form here.

For players who are selected, EPSCA runs an England Under 11 team and an England Girls Under 11 team. Team selection details are on the England teams page.
